It's Word of the Week WEDNESDAY

Hello my raviolis!  YES!!!  It's word of the week Wednesday.  The day a new and interesting word is highlighted and your assignment word is ("Should you choose to accept it" as they said in the Mission Impossible TV series,

Splendid

Yes, "splendid" and if I say so myself, it is a "splendid word."  The origin of the word is from "Latin" meaning "to shine" and is akin to "Middle Irish" meaning "bright."  Definitions such as brilliant, marked by showy magnificence, grand, excellence, and out of the ordinary define splendid.  (Which also describes each and every one of you my "splendid" and huggable raviolis ).

Can you use the world splendid in three different sentences today?  Here are my three uses of this wonderful word:

What SPLENDID Christmas cupcakes you have decorated, Miss Kit Kat Maroo.  They are full of holiday color, pretty sugars and look so tasty.

These twin wildcats show off their face paintings of a tiger and a leopard by a SPLENDID face painting artist.

An indoor rock climbing wall is a SPLENDID way to spend an afternoon.

So, please use the word "SPLENDID" today and surprise your family with your new word use.  Hugs and kisses to you all, my raviolis, and have a SPLENDID day!

SPLENDID is the sound my sweet Kaitlyn makes when she laughs and shrieks when we play "SHHHH....DON'T WAKE THE MONSTER!!!"
